For today I was inspired by a documentary about Cristobal Balenciaga.
Balenciaga is now known for their futuristic collections, thanks to Nicholas Ghesquière, but in fact the house has always been known for those kind of collections. Vintage Balenciaga items are now seen as classics and influences from Cristobal Balenciaga are still seen in today's fashion. That made me realise I should keep my eyes more open for new designers who have a fresh look at how fashion could be. Those designers may create classics as well, perhaps we should give more of them a chance and have a more openminded view on fashion.
